Before going into EDM, French producer Joachim Garraud studied piano and drums for several years before deciding to go into electronic music. He began his career in 1989 as half of the duo the Boy in Paris, performing at his first rave in Moscow in 1991 which consisted of more than 300,000 people. Over the course of the next decade he steadily increased in popularity before performing on television on New Year’s Eve of 1999 live from the Cairo pyramids, appearing in from of an audience of more than 2.4 million. The following year he launched the GUMPROD label with fellow EDM star David Guetta. Since then he has gone on to continually release hit records, perform at some of the world’s largest festivals, and act as a central figure throughout the EDM scene. He has produced remixes for leading artists such as David Bowie, Kylie Minogue, Moby, and many more.
