Platinum-selling French producer and DJ Martin Solveig went into music at an early age, singing and receiving classical training as part of a children’s choir. By the time he was 18 he had gone into DJing and was performing at some of the hottest clubs in Paris, such as Le Queen, L’Enfer, and Les Bains Douches.
Over the course of the early and mid-2000s, he released several albums which sold hundreds of thousands of copies each and garnered him an ever-increasing fan-base. In 2009, Solveig was honored as a Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres, which is the most prestigious distinctions a French artist can receive. He then received the Artiste de Musiques Electroniques de l’Annee at the French Victoires de la Musique, yet another outstanding recognition. In 2011, Solveig was selected to serve as a producer on Madonna’s MDNA album. The following year he was chosen to be house DJ for the MTV Movie Awards.
Over the course of the past six years, Solveig has ranked among DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs, attaining his highest position in 2011 at No. 29.
